Welcome back, Boise! Let's get this Monday started. Here's what's going on around town today.
The Boise Daily endorses the upcoming Alzheimer's Walk coming up Saturday. The Boise VA Hospital recently rented a morgue to keep up with COVID-19 deaths and the area around Stanley continues to shake. Take a road trip to Pillar Falls to get out of town and a coffee company is not happy with Boise State University.

- More than six million people live with Alzheimer's in America and between 2019 and 2020 the number of people with this debilitating disease rose by 145 percent. KIVI-TV's Steve Dent reports The Treasure Valley Walk to End Alzheimer's happens on Saturday from ten to noon at Kleiner Memorial Park in Meridian. (KIVI-TV)
- COVID-19 deaths are mounting in the Boise area. The Boise Weekly's Tracy Bringhurst has the sad news the Boise VA Medical Center has now rented a portable morgue unit to handle the influx of bodies. The Boise VA states 42 veterans have died due to COVID-19. (boiseweekly)
- The ground around Stanley is shaking. KTVB-TV's Celina Van Hyning reports a 4.0 magnitude earthquake shook the Stanley Basin area on Saturday. The quake is in the same area as two previous quakes less than two weeks ago. (KTVB-TV)
- The fall season is the perfect time to take a road trip. Within a few hours of Boise is a number of places to put on your Idaho bucket list. The BoiseDev's Sophia Doumani provides pictures and directions to see Pillar Falls. (boisedev)
- A coffee company wants more than a shot of espresso from Boise State University. According to IdahoEdNews's Kevin Richert, Big City Coffee filed a $10 million lawsuit against the state university, a year after the company was forced off the campus. (idahoednews)
