🌱 Big Boy Coming To Boise + Pothole Success + Bundy Dismissal
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Boise.

Good day, people of Boise! It's me again, John Braese, your host of the Boise Daily.
Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the Boise Daily. Persons serving jail time rarely receive good news, but Ammon Bundy was notified the county is dropping charges filed against him. Boise will be the site of a steam train visit in July, and local college students are helping out local gardens and learning about irrigation at the same time. Local mayors are working together to iron out problems and there are fewer potholes attacking your vehicle.
First, today's weather:

Here are the top stories in Boise today:
- The Ada County Prosecutor's Office has decided to dismiss a remaining charge of trespassing against Ammon Bundy, Idaho candidate for governor. The Magic Valley Times-News carries a story by the Idaho Statesman stating Bundy was notified of the dismissal while sitting in jail serving a 10-day sentence on a previous conviction. - Steam train enthusiasts and history buffs, take note. Union Pacific has announced Big Boy No. 4014 will be in Boise July 21-22. The visit is part of the railway's 160th anniversary tour and will include access to the “Experience the Union Pacific Rail Car,” a multi-media walk-through exhibition. Visitors will also be able to speak with the crew. Boise Patch will keep you updated as this event comes closer but mark your calendars now. (up.com)
- As we approach an extremely tight water year, the proper use of irrigation becomes even more important. Boise Patch presents a story on College of Western Idaho students learning good practices while also helping out with installation of irrigation systems at community projects. (Boise Patch)
- The lines separating communities in the valley becomes further blurred daily. BoiseDev editor Don Day reports mayors of four local cities are recognizing their similar problems and collaborating for solutions. (boisedev.com)
- You called and let them know and they took action. CBS2 news staff happily report Ada County's Pothole Days campaign resulted in 369 of those bone jarring holes filled this year. The highway district is still urging motorists to report new suspension bouncers. (Idaho News)
