Welcome back, Boise! It's Wednesday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on around town today.

If you are one of the thousands with a bike in Boise, good news is coming your way from the Boise Daily.   1. Boise bike riders, rejoice: the City of Boise Pathways Master Plan is complete and will bring 110 total miles of new pathways to the city. KIVI-TV's Meredith Spelbring introduces the plan that will mean 75 percent of Boiseans will have less than a 10-minute walk to a pathway. (kivitv)
  2. The Boys Scouts will be out in force on Saturday, not for a hike in the Boise Foothills, but for collecting food for those in need. The annual Scouting for Food fundraiser will start at 9 a.m. and benefit the Idaho Foodbank, according to a story by staff of CBS2. (Idaho News)
  3. The Boise State gymnastics team has announced the 2022 schedule, including four home meets right here in Boise. (broncosports.com)
  4. Already a crowded field, add one additional name to those wanting to be Idaho's governor. KTVB-TV's Mia Hunt writes Sandpoint Mayor Shelby Rognstad announced his candidacy for the state's highest office on Monday. (ktvb)
  5. A local resort has announced plans to open a charter school, according to Sami Edge of IdahoEdNews. The Mountain Community School (formerly the McCall Community School) will open its doors from the Tamarack Resort in the fall of 2022. (idahoednews)

  • Join Golden Eagle Audubon and the Wednesday Morning Birders for some slow birding at Cleo's Ferry Museum and Nature Trail, also known as Cleo Swayne's Nature Trail. This eclectic nature area is located on the Snake River near Walter's Ferry crossing. There is a donation box at the trail to support it. (9:30 a.m.)
  • The Boise State University Recreation Center presents "Leveraging the Power of Visual Thinking To Be a Better Communicator and Leader." (10 a.m.)
  • The Boise Public Library Board of Trustees regular meeting will be held on Wednesday in the Marion Bingham room at the Main Library located at 715 S. Capitol Blvd., Boise. (11:30 a.m.)
  • The Design Review Committee for the City of Boise held in the Maryanne Jordan City Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall. Meetings start at 6 p.m. and are open to the public. The meeting's end time depends on the length of the agenda. (6 p.m.)
  • The Idaho State Museum will hold a virtual History Happy Hour on Wednesday. This Wednesday will feature National Native American Heritage Month. (6 p.m.)
