Here are the top three stories in Boise today:

  1. Down the road, Bogus Basin is hiring for various summer jobs, including operators for the new Mineshaft Challenge Course. They offer competitive wages and multiple benefits such as free transportation, discounted food and beverages, a summer season pass, and retail discounts. It's an opportunity to work in a beautiful natural environment with a dynamic team. (Idaho News 2)
  2. Boise experienced a decline in population by almost 1,400 residents, while other major cities in Idaho saw population growth according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates. The overall growth rate in the state has slowed, potentially due to high housing costs in Boise, leading families to seek more affordable housing in nearby areas. The fastest-growing city in Idaho was Paul, with a growth rate of 20 percent and over 250 new residents, while the largest cities generally attracted the greatest number of new residents. (KBOI)
  3. The Boise Police Department is seeking the driver or passengers of a dark-colored sedan that was seen traveling behind the vehicle of suspect Marion Nikichimus, who allegedly intentionally hit and killed Elizabeth Sorg with his vehicle after an altercation in early June. The police believe that the occupants of the dark-colored sedan may have witnessed the incident and are urging anyone with information or potential witnesses to come forward. A GoFundMe page has been set up by Sorg's loved ones to cover memorial expenses, with any remaining funds going to her husband or to support animals in need. (AOL)
