Morning, neighbors! It's me again, John Braese, your host of the Boise Daily.

Happy Thanksgiving Boise Daily readers. Place the turkey in the oven and grab your skis — Bogus Basin is open. Two holiday air travelers were detained after loaded guns were found on carry-on luggage at the Boise airport. The gift of donating blood is needed this holiday, and the state is asking the courts to allow the banning of transgender players on sports teams. If you are leaving town, Highway 95 is the answer as Highway 55 remains closed.

  5. If you heading out of town for the holiday weekend, Highway 55 will remain closed at least until Monday due to a rock slide. BoiseDev reporter Autum Robertson reports a temporary road will be constructed around the 50,000 cubic yards of debris currently on the roadway. (boisedev)
