- We will remember this past summer for the heat, but KTVB-TV staff have the news Bogus Basin has snow. Skiing may be a few months away, but our local ski area picked up two inches of the white stuff during this recent storm. (KTVB.com)
- The City of Boise and the Farmer’s Union Ditch Company will not be working together on a water recycling project. BoiseDev reporter Margaret Carmel writes the city issued a letter canceling the 2014 contract. The project has received opposition from a neighborhood association and activists. (boisedev.com)
- The Boise Airport has installed a "pet restroom" for service dogs. CBS2 staff report the area is equipped with artificial grass. In addition, a new lactation center has also been built. (idahonews)

- We typically see GoFundMe campaigns to help a family in need or assist in a social issue needing an inflow of cash to continue. IdahoEdNews' Clark Corbin releases the news Idaho school board candidates are now using the crowdfunding site to fund their campaigns. - Join Golden Eagle Audubon and the Wednesday Morning Birders for some slow birding Barber Park. The overall pace is slow so that everyone gets a chance to see and enjoy every bird. This is a great opportunity to look for migrating birds on the east end of Boise. All levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed. Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at Barber park near the restrooms at 9 a.m. (9 a.m.)

Consumers will spend $3.32 billion on Halloween costumes this year. That is 27 percent more than last year and the most since consumers spent $3.35 billion in 2017, the NRF says. Almost as much – $3.17 billion – will be spent on decorations. And $3 billion will be spent on candy.
