- There are some hard feelings between law enforcement professionals in Canyon County. CBS2 news staff report numerous law enforcement officials have publicly issued a statement against county prosecutor Bryan Taylor's testimony on behalf of former Caldwell Police Department Lieutenant, Joseph Alan Hoadley. - State law may soon spell out parents' rights in child protection investigations. The IdahoCapitalSun's Kelcie Mosely-Morris reports a new bill in the Idaho Legislature states that the "responsible parents are to be notified of their legal rights in a child protection investigation upon the first contact with the family. It also states that the individuals had the right to remain silent and consult with an attorney, could refuse entry to their home or other property, and could refuse to allow questioning of minor children in their home or on their property." (idahocapitalsun)
- The case continues with not much news to tell in the disappearance of Fruitland boy Michael Vaughn. KIVI-TV staff report Sarah Wondra, the Fruitland woman charged in the case, will remain at the state hospital undergoing testing to determine competency. Wondra had previously been found unfit to stand trial. (kivitv)
