Here are the top three stories in Boise today:

  1. The Boise Breakfast Club, a group focused on women in business, is gaining popularity in the Treasure Valley. Founded by Kelci Borges, the club officially launched in January and has consistently sold out every month since then. The club provides networking opportunities, education, and resources to women from various industries, aiming to support their business growth and success. You can learn more here. (Idaho 6 News)
  2. The Boise Bicycle Project (BBP), a nonprofit organization, was born out of a conversation between co-founders Jimmy Hallyburton and Brian Anderson during the 2007 Castle Rock Fire. Both former firefighters discussed their love for bicycles and the freedom they bring. BBP aims to make Boise the "Bicycle Capital of America" by providing bikes to anyone regardless of income, teaching bike repair skills, and promoting cycling infrastructure. After 16 years, Hallyburton is stepping away from the organization but believes BBP will continue to thrive and contribute to Boise's strong bicycle community. (KTVB)
  3. Kris Komori, chef and co-owner of KIN Restaurant, shares his involvement with the City of Good, a local nonprofit dedicated to creating a sustainable food system in Boise. They have launched a monthly giving program, allowing individuals to contribute less than $7 a month to provide locally sourced and restaurant-prepared meals to those in need, emphasizing the importance of community support.
