1. Connie Smith, the Emmett woman charged with first degree murder, made her first court appearance and is now back in the Gem County Jail according to Idaho News. Authorities will not confirm she is responsible for the death of 8-year-old Taryn Summers whose body was found on property off Airport Road in Emmett.

2. A Boise woman is organizing her own 'Flock Cancer' race for breast cancer according to KIVI-TvV. Leslie Scantling is a fourth-generation breast cancer survivor and has scheduled a walk for May 8 on Harrison Blvd.
