Alaska Airlines adds Boise to Anchorage nonstop flights (idahobusinessreview.com) — Nonstop seasonal flights between Boise and Anchorage are coming in June 2026, giving local travelers a direct option that avoids layovers in Seattle or Portland. Alaska Airlines will run roundtrip flights on Wednesdays and Sundays through mid-August, and Boise Airport leaders say the route should boost tourism, convenience, and economic ties for Boise residents.
   

2. Lighting the Way: South Boise family turns holiday tradition into tribute (kivitv.com) — A South Boise family is turning their elaborate Christmas light display into a heartfelt tribute to late husband and father Terry Litke, drawing neighbors’ attention each December. The Litke children now lead the growing display, using lights, a nativity scene, and a “Celebrate Jesus” sign to honor his memory and share the season’s meaning with their Boise community.
   

3. Ada County Victim Services Center expands support through new partnership with TIP Treasure Valley (kivitv.com) — Boise-area residents now have expanded support after the Ada County Victim Services Center partnered with the Trauma Intervention Program of the Treasure Valley, a 40-volunteer crisis team. The collaboration will bring more on-scene emotional support for victims of crime, sudden deaths, and other traumatic events, all coordinated through the county’s 24/7 victim services hub in Boise.
   

4. Citizens Against Poaching hotline helps protect Idaho's wildlife resources (kivitv.com) — From its Boise headquarters, Idaho Fish & Game is urging residents to use the Citizens Against Poaching hotline to report suspected wildlife crimes anywhere in the state. With only about 90 officers covering all of Idaho, officials say public tips are crucial and encourage hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts to call 1-800-632-5999 or file reports online year-round.
   

5. Idaho lawmakers raise $66K for foster youth preparing for adulthood (ktvb.com) — From Boise, state leaders just announced $66,000 raised to help Idaho foster youth ages 16–23 with essentials as they transition into work or college. The effort, led by lawmakers and community partners, builds on a recent budget boost that extends key child welfare services and aims to recruit more foster families statewide.
