Boise Downtown Parkers Using App Were Hacked
A phone application used by thousands of Boise drivers parking downtown was hacked and personal information was released.

BOISE, ID — ParkMobile, the parent company of a phone based application used by 21 million customers including 80,000 users in Boise, announced a hack of their system earlier this year.

Users who signed with the company prior to March 17 may be impacted according to the news release.

Hackers now have access to user's email addresses, license plate numbers, phone numbers and vehicle nicknames. Passwords were also released, but not the keys required to actually read the passwords. No credit card information was released.
ParkMobile stated the access point to the hackers was found and has been fixed.
