Boise Drivers Need To Park Their New Dodge Ram Outside
A recall of over 20,000 heavy-duty diesel Ram trucks will start April 30.

BOISE, ID — The company manufacturing the 2021 heavy-duty Dodge Ram pickups is advising owners to park the vehicle outside. This is due to a heater electrical relay that can short, overheat and has caused fires.

The fires can start even if the engines have been turned off and sitting for some time. Three fires have taken place.

The trucks involved come equipped with the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine.
A recall is expected to be announced April 30 from Stellantis, a part of Fiat Chrysler. Owners of the pickups can determine if a truck has been recalled at recalls or phone the company's customer service at (800) 853-1403.
