Here are the top three stories in Boise today:
- On Friday, Jun. 2, court filings reported that Chad Daybell's trial date is scheduled for Apr. 1 , 2024 at the Ada County Courthouse in Boise. Daybell is accused of murdering his former wife and his current wife's children in 2019. Daybell's wife was recently found guilty of murdering her children in a similar trial. (KTVB.com)
- Ada County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 31-year-old Shane M. Tucker of Boise on Wednesday, May 31, outside a home in a Southeast Boise neighborhood. On Apr. 26, Tucker escaped from parole officers which led to the SWAT search in a Garden City neighborhood. Tucker has been charged with a felony count of escape by one on probation for a felony, a misdemeanor count of unlawful entry in connection with the April case, and a parole violation. (Ada County)
- Jon Taffer and the crew from Paramount’s Bar Rescue filmed attempted reinvigorations of four bars in Boise last year. The show will feature Dave’s Firehouse: A Local’s Bar in Boise. - The City of Boise will host a VRT talk on Jun. 6 about "the importance of local transit and the need to maintain and grow public transportation options in Boise." - Boise Fire Department is accepting applications for entry-level firefighters! The deadline for the application and written exam payment is Sep. 1, the deadline for scheduling the written exam is Sep. 29, the entry-level written exams will be held at Boise City Hall on Oct. 6 and Oct. 7, and the deadline for obtaining your EMT certification is Oct. 23.
