Here are the top three stories today in Boise:
- Snow fell on Tamarack Mountain North of Boise on Monday just two days before Summer begins. The National Weather Service reported a few inches of snow fell on Tamarack Mountain on Monday starting at around 5,000 feet. Monday was the coldest day since mid-May though warmer weather returns later this week. (Idaho 2 News)
- Exciting news for families in Boise! A brand new children's indoor playground is set to open soon at Boise Towne Square. Kids Empire, a well-established chain with over 50 locations nationwide, has already applied for a building permit earlier this spring. The playground will be situated near Macy's on the second floor and will offer a variety of engaging features, including an indoor maze, climbing structures, a snack bar, and dedicated party rooms. - The Boise City Department of Arts & History is inviting artists to apply to design artwork that will later be installed in front of the historic waterwheel in downtown's C.W. Moore Park. One artist or artist team will be selected and awarded a $100,000 contract. Idaho artists are encouraged to apply here by Jul. 6. (The Boise City Department of Arts & History via Facebook)
