Here are the top stories in Boise today:
- The former head of internal investigations for the Boise Police Department has filed a lawsuit against the City of Boise. KTVB-TV's Alexandra Duggan reports former Capt. Tom Fleming alleges the city and former police chief interfered in investigations and forced Fleming to retire early. The lawsuit also alleges the former chief ordered Fleming to end an investigation into an off-duty incident involving BPD officer Tim Green in which Green shot and killed another person. (KTVB.com)
- Winter may be here, but the opening date for golf season is also close. BoiseDev editor Don Day announces TopGolf is targeting Thanksgiving week for the opening of its 33,000 square feet of space including a combo driving range, bar, and restaurant. (boisedev.com)
- Boise Police spent Wednesday morning clearing out a growing homeless encampment behind the Interfaith Sanctuary. CBS2 news staff report tents, and personal belongings, along with trash and debris were removed by members of the county's inmate labor detail under the supervision of officers. (Idaho News)
- You still have time to celebrate Christmas in a new house. Boise Patch introduces five new properties for sale in the Boise area just in time to move for the holidays. (Boise Patch)
- The driving idea behind the Boise Daily is local Boise news. However, some stories need to reach readers that extend beyond our local area. EastIdahoNews reporter Nate Eaton is helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people. The most recent story involves a single mother working two jobs and her brother, a student at BYU-Idaho. The two shared a bike as their only mode of transportation.
