Boise Man Arrested After Loud Music Argument

Boise Police arrested a Boise man after he fired several rounds from a rifle outside his home.

BOISE, ID — A neighborhood disagreement over loud music resulted in the arrest of a Boise man after he fired rifle shots from the porch of his home.

Boise Police were called to the 1500 block of Sunrise Manor Way on Saturday evening at 9:25 p.m. after reports of a man firing multiple shots from a high-powered rifle from the front of his residence. Neighbors reported the man had stepped outside his home, fired the rifle, and returned back inside his home.

The suspect was identified as Robert Chad Heiner. Homes surrounding the area were evacuated. Officers made contact with Heiner and according to reports, "found additional evidence that the suspect had fired multiple rounds from a rifle and pointed the weapon at one person."

Heiner indicated he was angry at neighbors due to loud music. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Discharge of a Firearm in City Limits. He remains in Ada County Jail.
