  1. The Connector was closed for some time Tuesday morning after an officer involved shooting. KTVB-TV was on the scene and live, stating Boise Police responded to a call of a man walking on the Connector with a weapon. Early reports state the man refused to drop the weapon and was shot by police. The subject is currently in a local hospital. (KTVB)
  2. The City of Boise announced plans to purchase a one acre piece of land for use as a future park. The parcel is located off Fairview Avenue at 915 N. Shamrock Street. According to the city, purchase of the land would cost $800,000 plus closing costs. (City of Boise)
  3. A former Meridian police officer and current president of the Woodbridge Homeowners Association has been selected as to represent District 4 on Meridian City Council. BoiseDev reporter Autum Robertson writes John Overton was sworn in Tuesday evening to fill the vacancy after the departure of Treg Bernt, who was elected to the state senate. (boisedev.com)
  4. Gas prices in Idaho are bucking the national trend. CBS2 news staff report the average price for a gallon of regular in Idaho is $3.43. That is four cents less than just one week ago. The average price in Boise is $3.49 per gallon. Nationally, the price per gallon rose 13 cents to $3.23 per gallon. (idahonews)
  5. A trial scheduled to start in Boise later this year my be pushed back to an even later date. EastIdahoNews reporter Kaitlyn Hart reports Chad Daybell's attorney, John Prior, filed a motion to object to the court’s scheduling order of Jan. 9 for jury questionnaire submissions. Prior’s motion also mentions that Daybell will be asking for a further continuance of the trial, which was set to start April 3. The next court proceeding for Daybell and his wife, Lori Vallow Daybell, is scheduled for Feb. 27. (eastidahonews)
