- The City of Boise stands to lose approximately $24 million in tax revenue if a bill on the Idaho House floor passes. BoiseDev senior reporter Margaret Carmel writes the bill, sponsored by a Nampa representative, would withhold any sales tax revenue from cities or counties that pass an ordinance or resolution opting not to enforce Idaho’s abortion ban. - The driver of a vehicle involved in a train/vehicle accident has been identified. KIVI-TV staff report the Ada County Coroner has identified the victim as 67-year-old Gary Baker of Meridian. Baker was the lone occupant of a SUV struck by a train on Kuna/Mora Road in South Ada County. (kivi)
- A former detention deputy for the Ada County Sheriff's Office is himself sitting in jail after an arrest on eight counts of lewd conduct with a minor and two charges of child sex abuse. CBS2 news staff report Gerald Fairbanks worked for the Ada County Sheriff's department from 1992 to December 2011. He was arrested after Nampa Police investigated multiple incidents said to take place between 2008 and 2014. (idahonews)
- Boise Police are asking for the public's help to solve a burglary on the 8000 block of W. Donnybrook Drive. Taken in the burglary was $2,500 in cash. (Boise Patch)
- It has been a tough day and fixing dinner is not in the plans. If you decide to go out to eat, we all know prices have risen. Be prepared in this story to be saddened. LITE-FM's Michelle Heart dug up old menus from some of Boise's finest establishments to look back a menu prices. Imagine large nachos at Cafe Ole for $4.50. Think back to steak and lobster at the Chart House for $14.45. Grab the change on the dresser for a bacon-wrapped Filet Mignon at the Branding Iron in Garden City for $3.25. And if you wanted to eat Chinese, egg dishes were 45-90 cents at the Bamboo Garden in Boise (compare to today's $5 a dozen prices). (liteonline)
