🌱 Boise Reader Feedback + Blizzard Return + Record Sturgeon Picture
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Boise.

Hi all. John Braese here with your fresh copy of the Boise Daily, filled with all the community information you need to know right now.
Reader Feedback: Before we present Monday's news, we recently asked our readers views on the Boise Greenbelt. If you recall, a child was recently injured after a bicycle/pedestrian accident. In response, DeAnna was kind enough to take the time and provide the Boise Daily her views as a frequent user of the Greenbelt.
"Thanks for this opportunity to respond.
I use the green belt frequently. The majority of time when I am on the green belt I am walking. Many bikers are polite and notify me when they are coming back from behind but several are not. In fact they ride too fast and don't give any warning. My fear is that I might just move over just a few inches and get hit. I have heard that some cities require a bike to either have a bell or some sort of a sound device that they have to activate when they are approaching other folks on the trail.
Thank you
DeAnna"

Our question for Monday may spark some controversy. If you visited the Boise Soul Food Festival over this past weekend, what was the best food offered? Email your response to john.braese@patch.com.
Now, welcome to the Monday edition of the Boise Daily. Boaters and tubers beware, the water level is dropping at Lucky Peak. The Ada County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance and a favorite Blizzard is coming soon to your local Dairy Queen. Idaho has a new record fish catch and parents in one new subdivision will not see a new school for a long time.

CBS2 news staff have the picture and the story of a new Idaho record sturgeon caught recently at CJ Strike Reservoir. Measuring 10 feet, 4 inches, the monster appears to be the size of the boat in the background of the photo. (idahonews)

With land donated for purpose of a school, the Ada County Planning and Zoning Commission has denied a request for a charter school to be built.
