Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the Boise Daily. A Boise High School student is looking to have more of a say in his education by running for office, and the summer heat is just around the corner. The City of Boise is waiting to hear from you on the proposed budget, and you will soon be able to catch a movie downtown again. Finally, if you are confused to wear blue or orange to the next Bronco home game, we have the answers.

Here are the top stories in Boise today:
- For those thinking students fail to become involved, read ahead. KIVI-TV's Nicole Camarda reports an incoming senior at Boise High School, Shiva Rajbhandari, has thrown his name in the election pool to take a seat as a Boise School District Board trustee. If elected, Rajbhandari would be the first board member to both represent and attend a Boise school. (Idaho News 6 Boise Twin Falls)
- As we head towards the final days of June, this summer has been an odd one in the weather department. Boise and surrounding areas have seen storm after storm roll through with the temperatures remaining mild for this time of year. CBS2's Nathan Larsen reports as we celebrate the Summer Solstice, the heat will climb over the next few days. Look for Boise temperatures in the 80s, with 90s possible. (Idaho News)
- The proposed budget for the City of Boise for 2023 sits at over $300 million. Boise Patch provides you a look at where that money will go and offers ways for your input to reach those voting on the budget. - Movies on the big screen will once again return to downtown Boise. BoiseDev editor Don Day writes Cinema West has announced the purchase of the old Edwards Cinema location on Broad Street. Cinema West has also planned a number of upgrades including recliner-style seating, new screens, upgraded audio and private screening rooms for parties. (boisedev.com)
- Time to roll out the debit card and hit the jersey store. KTVB-TV's Zack Armstrong announces Boise State University has announced the fan color schemes for the upcoming football home season games. The story includes a map of seating so you will be appropriately attired. (KTVB)
