Here are the top three stories today in Boise:

  1. The Boise Police Department is seeking witnesses to a fatal motorcycle versus vehicle crash that occurred on Sunday. The victim has been identified as Angela Hopkins, 56, from Kuna. Hopkins was driving a motorcycle westbound on Interstate 84 when another vehicle collided with her while making a left turn onto the same on-ramp. Hopkins was pronounced dead at the hospital due to multiple blunt-force injuries. The crash is still under investigation, and the police are asking any witnesses to come forward with information. 2. The Boise School District in Idaho has approved a new dress code policy for the upcoming school year to address discrepancies in enforcement that disproportionately affected female students and students of color. The policy aims to provide clear guidelines for school staff, improve student-staff relationships, and give parents more control over their child's dress and education. The district also approved resolutions related to paraprofessional requirements, open enrollment, and the K-12 funding formula to be presented to the Idaho School Boards Association for consideration. 3. David and Lizzy Rex, restaurateurs in Boise, have experienced great success since moving to the city six years ago. Their latest venture, Percy, has been well-received by the Boise community, offering polished American cuisine that is both upscale and approachable. With a 4.9-star rating on Google and a five-star rating on Yelp, Percy has become a popular dining destination known for its inviting atmosphere and delicious food, including items made with their signature sourdough starter.
