  1. A former social worker for a Boise junior high is dead by suicide and a principal faces criminal charges after law enforcement started an investigation into an inappropriate relationship with a student in their early teens. IdahoEdNews reporter Audrey Dutton reports the social worker, Scott Crandell, died by suicide after police began investigating a tip about the relationship. Although currently facing charges for not reporting possible abuse for nine months, the principal, Christopher Ryan, remains employed by the Boise School District, moved to the district office in a new position as Consulting Administrator. Parents state in the article they have been kept in the dark about the whole situation. (Idaho EdNews)
  2. Boise Mayor Lauren McLean has issued a statement after the Ada County Commissioners denied further funding for homeless to stay at the Red Lion. Boise Patch carries McLean's statement in its entirety. (Boise Patch)
  3. The Boise State University's men's basketball is out of the "big dance", the NCAA basketball playoffs. KIVI-TV's Brendyn Jones writes the Broncos fell to Northwestern in the opening round of the tournament, 75-67 in Sacramento. Boise State fell after shooting 40 percent from the field, 26 percent from the three point arc. This marks the second year in a row the Broncos have qualified for the NCAA tournament. (kivitv)
  4. Boise Patch informed readers about the situation taking place at the Cambridge Square apartments and residents being given three days to move out. BoiseDev senior reporter Margaret Carmel updates the story with information residents are now being offered assistance in finding alternative places to stay but only if they sign a settlement agreement agreeing they will not bring any legal action, discuss the settlement or disparage Commercial Northwest. The company is not responding about the company’s future plans for the complex, how many tenants had signed the settlement so far and why a 30-day notice was not given to tenants. (boisedev.com)
