Welcome readers to the Monday edition of the Boise Daily. If you are a Bronco fan, book your plane fare to Arizona for New Years Eve. Black Santa was recently in Boise to take the wish lists of children and just down the road from him, hateful graffiti was found on the Greenbelt. Outside of Boise, crews are working on cleaning up a large train derailment while a Montana company has plans for an old Boise motor lodge.

- The Boise State University football team is bowl bound. KMTV's Brittany Cooper reports the Broncos will play Central Michigan in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl on December 31 at Arizona Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. (KMVT)
- KIVI-TV's Steve Dent joined a number of children waiting to see Black Santa as he visited the Idaho Black History Museum. The Barber family travels throughout the northwest during this time of year providing children of color a chance to visit Santa and receive a free gift. (6 On Your Side)
- CBS2 news staff report the Boise Parks Department has removed some graffiti found in a tunnel near the Anne Frank Memorial along the Boise Greenbelt. The Boise Police Department has reached out to the Jewish community in Boise regarding the graffiti. (idahonews)
- If you think you have some cleaning up to do before the holidays, read this. On Saturday, 28 Union Pacific train cars derailed on the western edge of Hammett, Idaho according to staff of KTVB-TV. The train was a mixed commodity train and one of the cars spilled steel sheets. (KTVB)
- The Safari Inn, a 50-year old motor lodge in the heart of downtown Boise has long been closed. Now, according to BoiseDev editor Don Day, a Montana company with a history of remaking old motels is looking to add the old motel to a list of accomplishments. (boisedev)

- The Design Review Committee for Garden City will meet Monday. (3:00 pm)
- The University of Arizona's campus is happy to announce a new program in the Arizona School of Health Sciences (ASHS): Master of Science in Speech Language-Pathology (MSLP). Boise State students are invited to join an informational session to learn more about the program. (6:00 pm)
- The City of Boise Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Monday. (4:00 pm)
- More than 50 employers and community partners from a wide assortment of industries will be on hand to speak with job seekers at the Idaho Job & Career Fair. These employers are looking to fill an array of full-time and part-time positions, from entry-level to experienced candidates. In addition, a number of community partners will be available to discuss educational opportunities. (Noon)
