Welcome to the Sunday edition of the Boise Daily. We start today with the arrest of Ammon Bundy, candidate for Idaho governor. Two additional candidates for the office filed their paperwork to set up a showdown in the upcoming Republican primary. Reports have been filed on the mental status of Lori Daybell Vallow and fentanyl deaths are skyrocketing across the state. Finally, jobs working in out state's forests are now accepting applications.

Here are the top stories in Boise today:
- Gubernatorial candidate Ammon Bundy was not out on the campaign trail Friday, but was again arrested. CBS2 news staff report Bundy was booked into the Ada County jail at 1:15 a.m. on misdemeanor trespassing by Meridian Police. The charge stems from an incident at St. Luke's in Meridian. In addition to the candidate for governor, three others were arrested. (Idaho News)
- The two Republican front runners in the race for Idaho governor waited until the final day, but have filed for the upcoming primary. KTVB-TV carried the Idaho Press story written by Alexandra Duggan that both Brad Little and Janice McGeachin filed the necessary paperwork announcing the bids for Idaho's top public office. (KTVB)
- As we promised some time ago, the Boise Daily keeps you updated on the Chad Daybell/Lori Vallow Daybell case. Nate Easton, writing for the eastidahonews, updates the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare submitted reports this past week on the mental status of Lori Vallow Daybell. She was committed to the department on June 8 after being found incompetent to stand trial. (eastidahonews)
- Disturbing news from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare regarding drug related deaths. KISS-FM's Chris Cruise reports 42% of overdose deaths across the state stemmed from fentanyl in 2021. That number was 21% in 2020. (1035kissfmboise)
- If someone in your home is looking for a great summer job and a chance to spend the warm days outside, the United States Forest Service is looking to fill hundreds of open jobs across the Gem State. - Wear your blue and orange and come cheer with the Fiesta Broncos Alumni Chapter as the Arizona D-backs take on the Milwaukee Brewers. Registration includes a game ticket, early entrance to the park and the pre-game social that includes the Perfect Game menu: hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork, chips, potato salad, cookies and bottomless buttered popcorn.
