Morning, friends. It's me, John Braese, your host of the Boise Daily — here to explain everything that's fit to print about what's happening in town these days. Including updates on:

  • A local high school athletic team is scrambling after vandals destroyed the Eagles' football field.
  • BOSCO is opening their doors and inviting the public in to see how local artists create their masterpieces.
  • While stories continue regarding teacher pay, some high-level staffers of Idaho's education system received some hefty bonuses.
  • A clean vehicle could help out animals looking for new homes.

Our reader question of the day involves the story written over bonuses handed out to employees of the Idaho Department of Education. After reading the story, do you agree this extra cash was appropriate to state employees? Email your response to john.braese@patch.com.
