- A Horseshoe Bend man will never see life outside prison for killing an 11-year-old boy after he followed the victim's family home from a gas station. KTVB-TV's Katie Terhune reports 46-year-old Benjamin Poirier shot 40 rounds from a AK-47 into a family's trailer, killing Micah Pecyna as the fifth-grader hit inside. (KTVB)
- Saturday, April 2 marks the opening of the Boise Farmers Market. The Idaho Press staff write both the Walk-thru and Drive-thru options will be ready to sell fresh fruit and vegetables this season. (Idaho Press)
- The Boise Daily promised to keep you updated on the Chad Daybell/Lori Vallow Daybell case at least on a weekly basis. This week, Nate Easton of the East Idaho News reports Chad Daybell’s attorney argued Friday that his client’s murder trial should be held separate from Lori Vallow Daybell’s but prosecutors said having one trial will save money and is more efficient. - A semi-truck driver with a blood alcohol level nearly five times the legal limit was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his actions in an incident that killed 22-year-old Connor Holcomb in May, 2021. CBS2 news staff report Cecilio Camacho-Montoya will spend a minimum of seven years in prison before he will become parole eligible. (idahonews)
- The Princeton Review recently released ratings for best colleges in 2022. KIDO-AM's Stephanie Gull breaks the news the University of Idaho, not Boise State, ranked in the top 8% of colleges around the country. (kidotalkradio)
