Here are the top stories today in Boise:
- Three years after the murder of his ex-girlfriend, a Boise man was sentenced to at least 25 years in prison. KTVB-TV staff report David Randall found out his fate Monday in the stabbing and torture death of Darla Fletcher in an incident that occurred in December 2019. At age 60, Randall would be in his mid-80s before being eligible for parole. (ktvb)
- Friends ask friends or post questions on community forums asking for advice. The IdahoCapitalSun's Christina Lords reports the state is asking Idahoans to submit information about their slow, unreliable internet. In a program titled Link Up Idaho, the Idaho Broadband Advisory Board and Idaho Department of Commerce is gathering information about connectivity challenges. A link to provide your input is included in the story, but March 15 is the deadline. (idahocapitalsun)
- Local students care about climate change and took their concerns to the steps of the Idaho Capital. KIVI-TV's Geneva Zoltek reports the students gathered on the steps of the Capital requesting lawmakers to take action. (kivitv)
- Every household in Boise needs a Bubba. The hound mix is just one of the animals up for adoption with a full listing of Bubba and others available through Boise Patch. (Boise Patch)
- If you take a drive to McCall and want a beer, there will be one less choice. BoiseDev reporter Autum Robertson reports the McCall Community Congregational Church filed an objection to a planned bar in downtown McCall. Originally stating they had no objection to the Razz bar, church officials stated they changed their minds, killing the project. (boisedev)
