"We are just one step away from having a meaningful way to provide significant property tax relief to Boiseans who need it most, thanks to the Idaho Senate passing House Bill 550. I’d like to thank Representatives John Gannon and Mike Moyle for working together on this critical legislation that allows cities like Boise the option to cut property tax rebate checks to homeowners on the Circuit Breaker Program,” said Boise Mayor Lauren McLean. “This is something I’ve wanted the opportunity to do ever since I took office, but it was prohibited by state law. Now, we are closer than ever to being able to help elderly, widowed, or disabled homeowners in Boise. I trust Governor Little to see the wisdom of this legislation and sign it into law."
