Here are the top stories today in Boise:
- The popular children's show, "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" is coming to Boise, according to KTVB-TV staff. The show is scheduled for March 16 at the Morrison Center with tickets on sale now. (KTVB.com)
- If you are in the market for a new home, check out the Boise Patch listing of homes for sale. (Boise Patch)
- Landlords would be able to charge any amount for fees and deposits under a bill passed by the Idaho House. The Idaho Capital Sun's Clark Corbin reports the legislation bans local governments like cities and counties from regulating the amount landlords can charge in rent for residential property. Boise is the only local government that has a cap on rental application fees, which in this case is $30. (idahocapitalsun)
- If your plans for summer possibly include digging fire lines, loading fire retardant onto planes, or spending nights in a tent and getting paid for it, CBS2's Mickaela Elich writes the Bureau of Land Management is looking for you. The website included in the story will allow interested persons to apply directly. (idahonews)
- In just eight short years, Idaho will need around 104 new schools, according to a recent study published by IdahoEdNews and Devin Bodkin. The study also considered growth opportunities for charters in areas where schools underperform. An analysis found 119 schools underperforming in 2018-2021 assessments, mostly concentrated in the Boise area and along I-15 in southeastern Idaho. (idahoednews)
