At least for a day, the Boise Daily and Facebook users across the world took a day off the social media site, it was down. The Idaho court systems are up and running and today, we feature two court stories — attorneys are positioning in the Chad Daybell trial in eastern Idaho and a date has been set for Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin's contempt hearing. October is Domestic Violence Month, and a developer is making a second attempt at townhouses near Vista Avenue.

- Boise users joined Facebook users across the world in an outage on Monday. Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp all went down and the reason behind it were unclear, according to Clare Duffy and CNN Business. The East Idaho News carried the story. (eastidahonews)
- Attorneys on both sides in the Chad Daybell upcoming trial argued over a change of venue and sequestering a jury. Jonathan Hogan, in an article for the Rexburg Standard Journal, writes both parties agreed to a change of venue. However, undecided is if the trial should be held in another county or if a jury should be brought in from another county to hear the case. Daybell is charged with first degree murder in the deaths of his former wife Tammy Daybell and the deaths of his current wife Lori Vallow’s two children, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua “J.J.” Vallow. - October is Domestic Violence Month and KTVB-TV's Tristan Lewis reports calls to a domestic violence hotline are up and one agency has seen a 40 percent increase in clients. (KTVB)
- After being turned down once by the Boise City Council, a developer has come up with a new idea for townhouses near Vista Avenue. BoiseDev editor Don Day updates a new plan calling for 30 townhouses instead of 40 on three parcels along Palouse Street. (boisedev)
- Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin will face a hearing next week on whether she should be held in contempt of court for failing to comply with a judge’s order in a public records lawsuit. CBS2 carries the Associated Press story. (idahonews)

- The Harris Ranch Community Infrastructure District No. 1 will convene for a meeting on Tuesday. (2 p.m.)
