Welcome to the Thursday edition of the Boise Daily. The murder trial for Chad and Lori Vallow Daybell will proceed as one and a grandmother is happy with the decision. A proposed law may make it easier to get the word out on missing and endangered Idahoans, and we provide you information on open houses ready to be seen this weekend. - A family member of a child victim is pleased the murder trial for Chad and Lori Vallow Daybell will go forward together. After District Judge Steven Boyce denied a motion to sever the two defendant's trials, East Idaho News reporter Nate Easton spoke with Kay Woodcock, the grandmother of JJ Vallow, one of three victims the Daybells are charged with killing. - Boise Patch has covered the case of missing Fruitland boy Michael Vaughn since he disappeared July 27, 2021. In Vaughn's case, an Amber Alert was never activated because the case did not meet all the criteria. KIVI-TV's Nicole Camarda reports a bill is now before the Idaho Legislature to create an alert system for potential similar cases in the future. Lawmakers are working on a system to create a statewide alert system for any endangered missing person. (kivitv)

- A Boise man on parole will be heading to federal prison for 10 years after his sentencing for selling methamphetamine. CBS2 news staff report Nicholas L. Strong sold 55 grams of meth in Nampa and 84 grams in Boise in March of 2021. A search of Strong's residence resulted in a find of 450 grams of meth, $2,729 in cash and a gun in a bedroom. - If you are possibly looking for a business opportunity and a chance to live outside Boise, BoiseDev editor Don Day may have the answer. The Garden Valley Motel is for sale.
