Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the Boise Daily. A trial coming to Boise will have the option of a death penalty sentence after papers were filed late Monday. The weather has changed opening day for a local water park, and the local school district has announced kids will not go hungry this summer.   1. Lori Vallow Daybell could face the death penalty if found guilty of murder in the deaths of three family members. East Idaho News reporter Nate Easton reports Fremont County prosecutors filed notice late Monday to seek the death penalty if Vallow Daybell is found guilty of the deaths of 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan — two of Lori’s kids — and Chad Daybell's first wife, Tammy Daybell. A motion regarding a death sentence had previously been filed on Chad Daybell. Both defendants face a trial moved to Boise from St. Anthony. (eastidahonews)
  2. Boise's waterpark, Roaring Springs, has realized our recent weather is more hoodie and jeans than swimsuit and lotion. KIVI-TV's Kelsie Rose announces the opening day of operations has now been moved to May 14 due to our chilly spring. (Idaho News 6 Boise Twin Falls)
  3. The end of the school year is a positive for the majority of students, but for some, summer may mean hunger with the loss of school meals. CBS2 news staff report the Boise School District will be offering free summer meals starting June 6. Kids ages 1-18 will be able to eat free of charge. (Idaho News)

  5. The State of Idaho is legally fighting an order to delay implementation of Idaho's newest abortion law. The move comes just days prior to a recently leaked U.S. Supreme Court draft overturning abortion rights. The Idaho Capital Sun's Kelcie Moseley-Morris writes the Idaho Attorney's General's Office argues the court did not have the right to grant a stay of implementing Idaho's newest law and argues the law should take effect immediately.
