Welcome to the Monday edition of the Boise Daily. We open with some unpleasantness found on door steps Sunday morning in some local neighborhoods. The Legislature will be back soon and we look at some of the items scheduled. One group is looking to save our local farmland and we provide a list of license plates you should not request. We end with some sad news of a fire at a popular candy shop.

Boise Fact of the Day:
Originally called Lake Park, the resort that would become Lagoon opened on the shores of the Great Salt Lake on July 15, 1886. Visitors enjoyed an open-air dance pavilion, roller-skating, water sports, target shooting, a bowling alley, and a mule-drawn merry-go-round.
