- A local deputy has been cleared to return home from the hospital after recovering from a bullet wound and several stab wounds. Deputy Todd Nelson sustained the injuries while responding to a pedestrian causing a traffic hazard on I-84 in the early morning hours of Apr. 10. The suspect involved in the incident was killed on the scene when officers fired upon him after he began attacking Nelson. (Idaho News 6 Boise Twin Falls)
- The 41st annual Paint The Town event in Boise will take place in just over a month on Jun. 10. The program helps revitalize Boise neighborhoods by providing residents with newly painted homes that enable them to remain in their homes longer. Interested in supporting the cause? - A fraternity at Boise State University has been temporarily suspended following citations for several hazing-related incidents. Members of the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity were cited for a variety of incidents between 2018 and 2023, including underage drinking, hazing, and sending a member to the hospital with alcohol poisoning. The fraternity will not be allowed back on campus for at least four years. (KTVB.com)
