Here are the top stories in Boise today:

  1. If you are interested in Boise's system of water renewal facilities, collection system, and biosolids application site; the trash, recycling, composting and household hazardous waste programs; the geothermal heating district downtown and irrigation, supporting several dispersed irrigation systems; and climate action, air quality, stormwater, groundwater, floodplain, and project management areas, the city wants you on the Public Works Commission. (BoisePatch)
  2. The Boise State football team was off the field on Wednesday, substituting passes and the ground game for spatulas and carving knives. The Broncos, for over 10 years, served Thanksgiving dinner at the Cathedral of Rockies for the Boise Rescue Mission joined by KIVI-TV's Lynsey Amundson. (kivitv)
  3. Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, time to start thinking of Christmas decorations. No Boise Christmas is complete without candy canes and Taste of Home's Ceara Milligan offers suggestions for the adventurer in holiday treats: trim the tree with candy cane flavors including pizza, pickles, rotisserie chicken and more. (tasteofhome)
  4. KTVB-TV staff offer your complete holiday guide to upcoming events in the Treasure Valley. Some are free, some have admission fees, but everyone should be able to find something to welcome the season in the listings. (KTVB)
  5. Your family may be thinking of cutting your own Christmas tree, but do not want to end up like Clark Griswold freezing to death in the middle of nowhere. KIDO-AM's Michelle Heart has the answer as a local Boise church is offering the experience of cutting down a tree without the 60-mile drive through the forest. (kidotalkradio)
