Downtown Boise Shooting Ends With One To Hospital
No charges have been filed in the incident between two strangers.

BOISE, ID — One man was transported to a local hospital after an incident on Thursday in downtown Boise.
Around 7:50 p.m. Boise Police responded to a report of a shooting on W. Bannock between 17th Street and 18th Street.

Officers arrived to find one injured adult male and they provided immediate first aid while additional officers worked to secure the scene. The man was transported by Ada County Paramedics to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation shows there was an altercation between two men before the shooting. The men did not know each other. The second subject was on scene when police arrived. He has been interviewed and the investigation will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for a review of charges. The injured man was treated and released from the hospital.

Detectives do not have reason to believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
