BOISE, ID — Downtown Boise Association (DBA) launched a public survey this week to collect community input on perceptions and opinions for best uses, organizational resources, and public spaces in Downtown Boise. Working with local consulting firm Agnew::Beck, DBA Executive Director Jennifer Hensley and the Board of Directors are looking to the future of Downtown Boise and the management of the Business Improvement District (BID) as the organization approaches its 35th anniversary in 2022.

“Now is the time to make your voice heard!” Hensley stated. “We want to know what draws you to Downtown Boise currently and what you wish was happening here; how we can better serve you – our downtown community. As we approach our 35th anniversary, we plan to reflect upon what you love today while we look forward to the future of your downtown.”

For more than three decades, DBA has promoted Downtown Boise as a premiere dining, shopping, and entertainment destination in the Treasure Valley with the goal of fostering economic development in the area. The businesses within the downtown core and the BID contribute significantly to the overall economic vitality of the State of Idaho. As the community continues to grow, DBA is looking to the future and how to continue to best serve the population that lives, works, and visits downtown.

DBA Board President Wes Jost said, “Given recent, unprecedented times and seeing how our downtown economy is pulling out of the COVID-19 impacts, the Board of Directors and I want to hear from our community about how DBA can continue its mission to add value to Downtown Boise.”

In addition to the 501(c)6 nonprofit designation, the Association recently formed a 501(c)3 organization in order to best manage sponsorship and event revenue and contributions.

The link to the survey can be found here, and the entire Treasure Valley is invited to participate. It takes approximately 12-15 minutes to complete and will remain open through Friday, July 23rd.
