Hey, everybody! I'm back with your new edition of the Boise Daily. Here's all the local news you need to know right now.

Welcome to the start of the week and the Monday edition of the Boise Daily. We start the week off with news of construction in Boise and a local family preparing for a dream vacation. It may be one of your favorite camping areas will soon see upgrades and we provide you a map to show where fireworks are not allowed within the city limits.   1. As you drive down Fairview Avenue, have you wondered what the construction is behind Banner Bank on Allumbaugh Street? BoiseDev reporter Margaret Carmel reports the new building will be a single-bay truck washing station for a nearby rental company. The Banner Bank building remains vacant and still looking for a new tenant. (boisedev)
  2. Sierra Modawell and her family will soon depart Boise for a dream trip to Hawaii courtesy of Make-A-Wish and Lee Read Diamonds. KTVB-TV airs a story by Idaho Press reporter Sydney Kidd of a family hit not once, but twice by cystic fibrosis. After an earlier trip to Australia was called off due to COVID, the family is making plans for a July 13 departure. (KTVB.com)
  3. One of the favorite activities for Boise residents is to get out of the city and head for the mountains. Some of your favorite campsites may soon see some much needed upgrades according to the Idaho Capital Sun's Clark Corbin. The Payette National Forest is spending more than $2 million in deferred maintenance projects this year with the story outlining where and how the money will be used.   4. Boise Patch and the City of Boise is hoping the upcoming 4th of July is a safe one for all. The city has provided an interactive map showing places within the city limits fireworks are not allowed. We also provide a link to sign up for CodeRED alerts throughout the year. (Boise Patch)
  5. What town in Idaho would you rate as the most conservative? Boise? Meridian? An eastern Idaho town? Possibly a town up north?   • Children ages 8-10 are invited to spend the week at the Idaho State Museum kicking off Monday. Campers will explore the people who made Idaho, do some leathercrafting, design a park map and build a bridge. (9 a.m.)
  • The Children's Home Society of Idaho hosts a parent group Monday evening. (5:30 p.m.)
  • The City Council for Garden City meets Monday evening. (6 p.m.)
  • The City of Boise Historic Preservation Commission meets Monday. Four items are on the agenda regarding changes to historic properties. (6 p.m.)
