Good morning, Boise! Here's everything you need to know to get this Wednesday started off right.

The West Ada School District may think twice regarding posting on Facebook. A recent post has patrons and others leaving nasty comments. The Idaho Supreme Court and the Idaho Legislature failed to see eye to eye and a local hotline is asking for volunteers after seeing call numbers explode. If you have a few nights a month open and enjoy zoning ordinances, Boise is looking for you. Finally, take a look at some ideas others have about Idaho and the people living here.

  • Join SIBA for a birding trip to Montour Wildlife Management Area in Emmett. SIBA (Southwestern Idaho Birders Association) is a birding group based out of Canyon County.   • Chicago takes the Idaho Central Credit Union Grandstand Stage on Wednesday, Aug. 25. (6 p.m.)
  • The Morrison Center and Lost Grove Brewing are partnering for the Neighborhood Concert Series to support local performing artists and celebrate Boise neighborhoods. The Neighborhood Concert Series will feature different local musicians/bands every other Wednesday running through Aug. 25 in surrounding neighborhood parks. Join us from 6-8 p.m. for live music from local musicians, food trucks, and vendors. Admission is free, so gather your family and neighbors for a fun night out. (6 p.m.)

Boise's first sewer system started construction in 1892. In 1886 Idaho’s big new Territorial Capitol building was praised for its elegance, but legislators and all the men and women who worked there had to go outside to a separate outhouse.
