Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the Boise Daily. Although not a huge reduction, Boise gas prices are very slowly starting to fall. A Boise pastor is joining the staff of a conservative policy group, and no matter your food tastes, a new downtown area should be able to fill your hunger. - Here may be the best news of the day. CBS2 news staff report Idaho gas prices are slowly, slowly falling. Even with Idaho having the seventh-most expensive fuel in the country, the price last week fell by 4 cents. Smile the next time you fuel up and remember California drivers — fueling up your pickup in California will run $6.09 a gallon. (idahonews)
- A Boise pastor and former candidate for state school superintendent has a new job. IdahoEdNews reporter Kevin Richert writes Branden Durst will join the Idaho Family Policy Center as senior public policy fellow. Durst, an ordained pastor at the Cloverdale Church of God, joins the nonprofit that describes itself as “the premier conservative Christian policy research and educational organization in the state.” The group was a proponent of a recent bill allowing librarians to face criminal charges if they disseminated obscene materials. - If the family is hungry, but everyone's tastes do not match, the Warehouse food hall will be opening in just a few days. BoiseDev senior reporter Margaret Carmel grabbed a sneak view of the 29,000-square-foot new concept located in the Bodo area along 8th Street. - Sad news to many following the story the last few days. KTVB-TV staff report a body has been found in Owyhee County in the vicinity where a missing man's pickup was previously located. The family of Matthew Schultz have said he was found deceased in the Bennett Mountain area. The father of newborn twin girls, Schultz was an avid outdoorsman, according to numerous social media posts over the weekend, and enjoyed exploring the Owyhees. (KTVB)
