Hello, neighbors! It's me again, John Braese, your host of the Boise Daily.

Welcome to the Thursday edition of the Boise Daily. A family pet is safe today thanks to the effort of the Boise Fire Department. Keeping with good news, a missing Meridian boy is back home after a large social media blitz; and new census numbers have been released and we explain what they all mean.   1. KTVB-TV news staff carry the happy story of the Boise Fire Department saving a dog trapped in a home on Liberty Street. After firefighters arrived at the blaze, the family pooch was found hiding under a bed, provided oxygen and returned to the family. (KTVB.com)
  2. Local social media was alive Tuesday with a family asking for assistance in locating a missing young boy. CBS2 news staff reported Wednesday 13-year-old Dash Phillips was returned home safely. (Idaho News)
