The suit revolves around Norman Carter, a current Boise Police officer, and his whistleblower suit against the city. Carter alleges former Boise Police Lt. Greg Oster “openly” sold weapons, both to officers and to the public, through his private company out of his police department office. Carter states when he reported Oster's actions, he faced retaliation from Oster, his supervisor at the time, and that the department and the city failed to prevent the retaliation. (boisedev.com)
