  1. Lori Vallow Daybell is now in Boise. EastIdahoNews reporter Nate Sunderland writes Ada County Jail officials confirmed the defendant facing multiple counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan – two of Lori’s children – along with Chad’s previous wife, Tammy Daybell, was moved from Madison County Jail in Rexburg to Boise. Her local trial is scheduled to start April 3 with jury selection. (eastidahonews)
  2. Idaho is now the fifth state to allow executions by firing squad. The IdahoCapitalSun's Mia Maldonado reports Idaho Governor Brad Little signed House Bill 186, adding a firing squad as an alternative method of execution when lethal injection is unavailable. The bill also includes $750,000 for the Idaho Department of Correction to refurbish its facility to execute someone by firing squad. Idaho joins Mississippi, Oklahoma, Utah and South Carolina as states allowing firing squad and since 1976, there have been only three executions carried out by firing squad. (idahocapitalsun)
  3. The tax credit you receive on your state income taxes could be rising. CBS2news staff report the Idaho Legislature is considering a bill increasing the food tax credit by 50 percent. The state collected $375 million in sales tax revenue on on food purchases in fiscal year 2023. (idahonews)
  4. The search continues for a missing Forest Service employee near Lowman according to a story filed by KTVB-TV staff. Tyler Beyer, 30, was last seen March 12, when he headed out on a snowmobile trip northeast of Lowman. Due to extreme avalanche danger in the area, the search has been delayed a number of times. (KTVB)
  5. Meridian will be receiving some additional housing, but not as many as requested by developers. BoiseDev's Carolyn Komatsoulis reports Meridian’s city council approved the Sagarra residential community near West Orchard Park Drive, North Fox Run Way and North Linder Road. It also approved the Millwood Subdivision on Victory Road. The council denied a 90 apartment complex on Franklin Road. (boisedev)
