- Former Boise City Councilmember Lisa Sánchez's request for a preliminary injunction has been denied by a judge. Sánchez lost her seat when she inadvertently moved out of her district at the end of 2022. She had asked the court to stop Boise's city council from taking action without her and to direct the city to reinstate her, but the judge ruled that she was not substantially likely to prevail on her claims. - Boise police responded to a shooting incident on Apr. 29 where a victim was found injured in a local business. The suspect, known to the victim, fled to his nearby residence on State Street. After a several-hour standoff with the police, the suspect was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident caused the evacuation of nearby businesses and residences, and State St. was closed for a period. (Press Release Desk)
- Megabus, in partnership with Salt Lake Express, will be launching a new bus service connecting Boise. Idaho to cities in six western states, including Utah, Wyoming, and Washington. The new service connects Idaho to cities in six western states, including Utah, Wyoming, and Washington.
