Hello, people of Boise! It's me again, John Braese, your host of the Boise Daily.

Welcome to the Saturday edition of the Boise Daily. We start with the Boise Fire Department offering assistance for you to keep your home safe during the upcoming fire season. A former fan favorite of the Idaho Steelheads has unexpectedly died, and the city is asking for feedback on the recent redistricting. College tuition will remain the same next year, and we take a look back at an Idaho cold case involving multiple murders and no arrests.

  2. Longtime fans of the Idaho Steelheads are mourning today. KTVB-TV news republishes a story by Idaho Press reporter John Wustrow announcing the untimely death of former Steelhead player Lance Galbraith. The two-time Kelly Cup champion with the Idaho Steelheads died in a single-vehicle crash at the age of 42 in Canada. (KTVB)

For college students and those helping out college students pay for education, IdahoEdNews reporter Kevin Richert reports a tuition freeze was unanimously approved by the Idaho State Board of Education for next year.
