Here are the top stories in Boise today:
- The Boise Daily opens with a story we doubt you will find anywhere else. Members of the Oregon National Guard were heading to Gowen Field for training when they came upon a horrific motorcycle accident on Interstate 84. The National Guard's Steven Conklin takes the reader through the scene and the medical assistance provided by the STS Airmen. Just days before the accident, these same STS members had completed tactical combat casualty care (TCCC) and were riding in vehicles equipped with the equipment and the trained personnel for just such a situation. Hospital staff later confirmed it was likely both victims would have died at the scene if not for the actions of the visitors from Oregon. (nationalguard.mil)
