Hello again, neighbors. It's Sunday in Boise and I'm back in your inbox with everything you need to know about what's happening in town, including updates on:

  • Local police were busy Friday night looking for a wanted suspect finally found hiding in a local parking garage.
  • Due to a donation, a local park will soon include a skate park and dog area.
  • Boise residents will soon be able to watch people exercising on the Greenbelt while putting down a big, juicy roast beef sandwich.

  1. A Boise man was jailed after a domestic dispute in northeast Boise. KTVB-TV staff report the incident started Friday night at approximately 6 p.m. near 19th and State streets. The suspect was ultimately found hiding in a parking garage on 9th and Front Street. (KTVB)
  2. As the need for cobalt, a substance used in electric car batteries, rises, an old mine in Idaho is now scheduled to reopen. Boise State Public Radio's Alisa Chang speaks with Bryce Crocker, chief executive officer of Jervois Global. Jervois Global is an Australian-based company opening the cobalt mine in the remote mountains of Idaho not far from the famous Salmon River. (Boise State Public Radio)
  3. An upgrade to Molenaar Park in Southwest Boise is moving forward after a $1 million dollar donation from the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation (JKAF).   4. Boise residents may soon be able to grab at bite at the Sandbar at the Riverside Hotel while watching runners zip by on the Greenbelt.
