KTVB-TV's Brian Holmes speaks with Charitable Assistance to Community's Homeless (CATCH), an agency assisting those unable to find housing. CATCH reports there are 1,448 homeless men, women, and children in Ada County as of March 29, 2022. The number includes 457 children. (KTVB.com)
- The name stenciled on your garbage can is purchasing a large landfill outside of Boise. BoiseDev editor Don Day reports Republic Services, a giant in disposal services, is acquiring Boise-based US Ecology, the owner of a large landfill near Grandview, Idaho. (boisedev.com)

- A candidate for Idaho superintendent of public instruction received some bad news from a Washington judge. The Idaho Capital Sun's Kelcie Mosely-Morris reports Branden Durst was found guilty of contempt of court in King County, Washington on charges related to a custody agreement with his ex-wife. The charges may be corrected if Durst remains in strict compliance with a parenting plan and pays $4,203 in legal fees. Durst's current wife, a candidate for Ada County coroner, still faces charges related to accusations of striking a child. (idahocapitalsun)
- Locally, 2022 could be known as the year of the bagels. LITE-FM's Michelle Heart writes the first of three new bagel shops just opened in Meridian. The Freedom Bagel Bakery quietly held a grand opening at its location on N. Eagle Road. (LiteOnline.com)
