  4. The City of Boise is on board with the Micron expansion plan. BoiseDev senior reporter Margaret Carmel writes the Boise City Council unanimously approved a request to rezone and annex 358 acres east of the Micron campus on Federal Way to make way for the company’s new fab. The expansion is estimated to bring 2,000 new jobs to Micron and hundreds of others to support the operation. (boisedev.com)
  5. Here is one for the memory books and an idea to make a new memory. Seven years ago, the Thunder Mountain Express went all out for Christmas, taking riders starting in Horseshoe Bend on a train ride complete with Santa on board. The line closed in 2016. For those wanting to make new train memories, a six-hour drive to Heber City, Utah can make a trip on the “North Pole Express,” a 90-minute train journey to the North Pole a reality. Santa will join the family on the trip per LITE-FM's Michelle Heart. (liteonline)
