Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the Boise Daily. Idaho Gov. Brad Little faces a decision of signing an abortion bill, one patterned after Texas legislation. A historic Boise park may soon see changes, and the state is filing a lawsuit for the removal of a Boise homeless camp/protest. - An abortion limiting bill patterned after Texas legislation is headed to the governor's office. The bill would ban abortions in Idaho after six weeks of pregnancy and allows family members to sue doctors who perform them. (Boise Patch)
- Visitors to one of Boise's oldest parks may soon see a number of upgrades. BoiseDev editor Don Day writes CW Moore Park could see a climbable structure for children while some of the historic pieces currently in the park will remain. (boisedev.com)
- The State of Idaho is suing for the removal of a camp on state property. KTVB-TV's Katie Terhune reports Idaho Gov. Brad Little announced Tuesday the state, citing dangerous health and safety violations, is filing a lawsuit to get rid of a group of protestors who have been camped out for months on the Capitol Mall in Boise. Central District Health determined the encampment to be a public health and safety hazard following a recent inspection. (KTVB.com)
- The Ada County Sheriff has released a statement regarding a case involving a child determined to be in imminent danger. The case resulted in arrests of protestors, including Idaho candidate for governor Ammon Bundy, on charges of trespassing. CBS2 news staff reports the sheriff urges those with concerns with the case not to phone the 911 dispatch center. (Idaho News)
